Nothing screams summer quite like well, screaming – on a roller coaster, that is! Calaway Park in Calgary is Western Canada’s largest outdoor amusement park and a staple in any local’s summer plans.
From thrilling coasters to kid-friendly rides, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy your day, especially when the sun is out.
Here’s when Calaway Park opens for the 2025 season, along with all the new attractions you can expect.
Calaway Park has been a beloved summer destination for rides, fair food, and fun since 1982.
Enjoy 32 rides, tasty treats, and entertainment all summer long. Parking is free on-site and the single-pay gate includes admission to all rides, live entertainment, the Cinemagic 3D theatre, Haunted Hotel, CP Spray n’ Play, and any other park attractions.
Try Calaway’s newest ride, the Riptide Racer. This family-friendly ride has you board a rescue boat and battle the waves.
The Riptide Grill is Calaway’s newest restaurant located next to Ocean Motion. Around the corner, you’ll also find the new Tasty Treats location – make sure to try the Dole Soft Serve for a warm-weather treat.
Water Wars is a new activity coming to Calaway this summer. Ready, aim, and fire in a friendly water balloon battle. This one will easily become a favourite on hot days.
Experience a thrilling adventure at the Cinemagic 3D theatre. The new movie, Happy Family – Next Level 3D, will debut during the 2025 season, so stay tuned.
It was time for a facelift. This year you can enjoy the newly renovated Village Shop, Sweet Toothe Candy Shop, Little Bucks, and The Burger Inn.
Excited yet? Good, because Calaway Park officially opens for the 2025 season on Saturday, May 17.
If you plan on being there a lot, then you can save on admission with the Spring Season Pass sale. Get a 2025 Season Pass for $69.95 plus GST until May 20. This price is per pass and saves you 53%.
