Reminder: Bud owes Edmonton Oilers fans 10,000 free beers

We’re not forgetting a promise made at the start of the Battle of Alberta, and now, Budweiser owes Edmonton Oilers fans 10,000 free beers. That’s right- they promised a ‘Bud on Us’ to thousands of fans in the winning city, and it looks like they’re going to pay up sooner rather than later.

Know who else didn’t forget the deal? Our own mayor, Amarjeet Sohi. Not wasting any time, he actually reached out via Twitter last night, asking for an update from Budweiser Canada.

Well, a reply this morning has things moving in the right direction, and we don’t want to miss the opportunity for a free brew. As a refresher, Budweiser will soon be sharing details about the winning city’s reward, and basically, it’s going to be 10,000 $5 vouchers to use on Budweiser products, which is about as close as the brand can get to giving out free beers.

More info about the Budweiser offer for free beers for Edmonton is available right here. But, we suggest following along on Twitter to claim your hard-fought prize.

Curiocity has reached out to Budweiser Canada and this story will be updated accordingly.
