Both The Summit at Snoqualmie & Stevens Pass are open, here’s what to expect

Winter is in full swing and with a few days off during the holidays, you might be trying to figure out how to best fill your time. Why not hit some of the best slopes in Washington for a little ski time? Both The Summit at Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass reopened this past week and are waiting for you.

So what’s new with skiing this year? Visitors to both resorts will need to wear masks when indoors and provide proof of vaccination for indoor dining. Keep in mind that both resorts are also maintaining fully cashless transactions. So leave the cash at home, grab your proof of vaccination and get ready to have some snowy fun.

Stevens Pass

This is a beloved local spot for many especially if you grew up in the Seattle area. It was once known for being full of ski bums but these days it’s developed quite a bit. That being said, it still has some great intermediate and advanced runs that you’re sure to love. Just keep in mind that parking is pretty limited.

When: Projected opening day December 3rd
Where: Summit Stevens Pass, 93001 US Hwy 2, Skykomish, WA

The Summit at Snoqualmie / Alpental

This is the spot to learn to ski and board! Really, it’s what Alpental is known for. Beyond that, it’s a great place for family-friendly skiing and they have a snow tubing center as well. If that’s not enough for you it’s also home to the state’s largest night skiing area which is perfect for after-work shreds.

When: Estimated opening date of December 8th
Where: 1001 State Route 906, Snoqualmie Pass, WA
Cost: $38-$689

Keep in mind that it is still early in the season so not all areas of both resorts may be open. That being said if you’ve been dying to hit the slopes it’s still well worth it to get out there and enjoy the snow. Have fun and stay safe folks!
