You can score books for just $1 at this library sale in Toronto

If you’re a book lover on a budget, there’s one place in the city where your dollar goes a very long way, and we mean literally as far as your tote bag can carry. The best value for buying books isn’t tucked away in a trendy shop or found online, it’s at the Toronto Library’s very own BOOKEnds stores.

BOOKEnds

There are two locations in the city, BOOKEnds North and South, where shelves are brimming with hidden gems, from classic novels to withdrawn library faves. Even a few donated treasures are waiting for a new home.

The idea is pretty simple: books and materials are priced anywhere from just $0.50 to $5. For those of you trying to save money, a lot of these finds sit at $1. You read that right. Definitely cheaper than your morning coffee.

And the best part about all of this is that every dollar you spend goes right back into supporting library programs and services.

So not only are you getting a fabulous deal, you’re also supporting literacy, community events, and resources at the library.

Both locations are run by the Friends of the Library group, volunteers who keep the shelves stocked and the bargains going.

Whether you’re on the hunt for a travel guide, a thriller for your commute, or a stack of bedtime stories, the inventory is always changing, and every visit is a new adventure.
