This wellness spa in Edmonton is Canada’s first women-only smoking bath sanctuary

Canada’s first women-only smoking bath sanctuary is right in Edmonton.

Body Smoking Spa is a women-only space in Edmonton, providing an atmospheric wellness retreat within the city limits. It was originally founded in 2021 and provides an array of signature services. Most importantly, it brings the traditional smoke bath to life through centuries-old Sudanese beauty practices. With smoked Acacia wood, it creates a warm, fragrant experience that will absolutely transform you.

This spa provides more than just a wellness experience— it’s entirely rejuvenating, a moment of stillness, comfort, and renewal in a private, comforting space.

What to expect

This spa has a variety of signature services. The full list includes a scented smoke bath, cupping, sugar waxing services, lymphatic drainage massages, a Moraccon bath, and an organic Dilka body scrub.

It’s most well-known for its smoke baths. In this experience, a professional scented smoke machine releases a consistent aroma, while wood smoke scent creates a warm, grounding environment. It’s the most calming experience you can have anywhere around Edmonton.

A smoke bath starts at $60 for one hour, which, in my opinion, is an absolute steal. You won’t find a better price in the city. For $150, you can have a 60-minute smoke bath as well as a full body scrub.

It also sells a wide array of products which are used at the spa. Whether it’s the organic sugar wax, coffee scrub, or moisturizing oil, you can have your own spa experience right at home, too.

If you’re looking for a premier spa experience in Edmonton, I couldn’t recommend this one enough. Visit Body Smoking Spa, and you’ll enter a state of ultimate relaxation.
