There’s an Ontario park perched on a bluff with scenic views of blue waters

If you’re looking for the perfect spot to enjoy sunset views, scenic cliffsides and a stunning beach, a trip to Point Farms Provincial Park in Ontario is in order.

This park is located north of the picturesque town of Goderich, which was once named the prettiest in Canada by Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Ontario Parks, it was once the site of a popular Victorian resort, but now serves as a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Perched on a bluff, the park offers spectacular views of the glittering water and beautiful sunsets over the lake.

There are many fun activities for the whole family at this park, including a large sandy beach with good swimming, 6 km of hiking trails, playgrounds, and playing fields.

For a fun adventure, we recommend taking the Ravine Trail, a 1 km hike with rugged terrain and steep inclines that wind along side of a ravine, according to Ontario Parks.

There are steps to the beach that can be accessed at the end of the trail.

There’s even a pet-friendly area in the park, so you can bring your pup along for the ride.

Point Farms has camping facilities that can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents.

Want to extend your outdoor experience? Not far from Point Farms is Pinery Provincial Park, a “breathtakingly beautiful park with 10 km of sand beach” and rare coastal sand dunes.

Ontario Parks says that the sunsets here were once ranked among the “Top 10 Best in the World” by National Geographic.

It’s time to cross some destinations off your summer bucket list, and this is your sign to explore Lake Huron this summer.

We definitely know we will.
