Ontario has one mountain coaster and it’s in this quaint village

Do you feel that? It’s starting to feel a little brisk out there. That means fall is just around the corner and if you’re looking for something fun to do, pay Blue Mountain a visit. Check out the lovely village and add more thrill to your life with the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster – Ontario’s first and only mountain coaster.

You may associate Blue Mountain Village with winter or summer activities, but we’re here to tell you that autumn might be the prettiest time of year to visit.

Explore its cobblestone-filled streets and turn-of-the-century architecture as you admire the surrounding hills that burst with autumn colours.

After you’ve made a few stops at its shops and restaurants, make your way to the Blue Mountain resort and embark on its coaster journey.

The Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster is an all-season experience that speeds past mountain terrain, up to 42km per hour.

You can take it slow and steady, and really take in all the sights. Or you can ramp it up to its maximum speed for a more exhilarating ride.

It’s only a two-hour drive from Toronto and offers a ton of fun and excitement.

The Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster consists of over 100 metres of track, showcasing beautiful views of the Niagara Escarpment.

The Ridge Runner has been a fan favourite for years!

It is part of its Adventure Park and hours vary for the next few months:

  • 10 AM – 7:30 PM (Until September 15th)
  •  10 AM – 7 PM (Until September 29th)
  • 10 AM – 6:30 PM (Until October 13th)
  • 10 AM – 6 PM (Until October 27th)

Hours will continue to change for the winter season.

But for now, take advantage of the thrilling and exciting adventures Blue Mountain offers.
