Bloomingdales to open in Seattle with “Bloomies” concept at U Village

After several years of retail uncertainty, in-person shopping is slowly making a comeback in Seattle. And fashion retailer Bloomingdale’s is the newest to plan an expansion to Seattle with the opening of “Bloomie’s.” The new store concept is set to open this year and here’s what we know so far.

The Seattle Bloomie’s location is opening after the introduction of its concept in the greater Chicagoland area in 2022, and Fairfax, Virginia, in 2021. It’s a smaller format store that provides a casual, contemporary, and highly curated experience. Shoppers will find an edit of top brands in both men’s and women’s categories ranging from apparel to accessories, to beauty, and more.

The new location is set to open inside Seattle’s University Village at an unspecified date in 2023.
