Here’s how high your chance of seeing Bigfoot in Washington is

Washington has been making a lot of rankings recently and while our state is known for being lucky, healthy and expensive, we’re also known for Bigfoot. Washington state actually has the most Bigfoot sightings in the nation. Hard to believe? Well, this new study backs it up.

BonusInsider decided to go through the available statistics to find out which states in the US have the highest odds for a Bigfoot encounter. They calculated the odds by reviewing data from BFRO – the Bigfoot Field Research Organization. The organization has the most comprehensive data – with sighting reports as far back as the 1950s.

  3. West Virginia (5.97)
  4. Idaho (5.31)
  5. Wyoming (4.82)
  6. Montana (4.72)
  7. Arkansas (3.64)

We’re number one! Our state according to BonusInsider has 710 Reports or 9.12 Sightings per 100,000 people making the odds of seeing one 10,965 to 1. They speculate that due to our states large population of deer and elk, any potential resident Sasquatch’s have plenty to eat.

Now if you’re curious, the largest number of reports, comes from Pierce County. Currently, there are 83 reports which include various sightings, footprints, vocalizations and growls.

What we really want to know is how the heck Bigfoot is getting out to Hawaii. We’ll leave you to think on that and be sure to let us know if you’ve seen this local legend yourself.
