Playland at the PNE

Although the PNE is in the middle of its hiring period for seasonal roles at the PNE, there are still seven open positions if you’re looking for a job this summer, including the roles of Playland Seasonal Catering Supervisor, Icemaker Lead, Assistant Manager, Festival Programs, and Foreperson I: Playland Grounds Maintenance.

All seasonal employees can enjoy discounts on passes to Playland, The Fair, and Fright Nights, as well as all the PNE food stands. Oh, and a completely free evening at Playland during Employee Family Night!

City of Vancouver – Aquatic Team

Looking for an opportunity to become a lifeguard or swim instructor this summer? The City of Vancouver is hiring both, paying between $25.21 to $30.81 per hour.

Note that aspiring swim instructors must earn their Bronze Cross as a pre-requisite for the role, and lifeguards are required to become Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion, First Aid (CPR C), and Swim Instructor and National Lifeguard certified.

City of Burnaby 

If you’re looking for something less geared towards students, the City of Burnaby is hiring eight open labourer positions for the summer.

BC SPCA – Camp Counsellors

Reporting to the Senior Camp Counsellor, Camp Counsellors will lead groups of youth (ages six to 14) through fun, educational, safe and inclusive experiences at BC SPCA summer day camps.
