It’s no secret that Canada is home to some beautiful restaurants, outdoor experiences, and hotels. And a new list by the U.S. News & World Report has just dropped the top resorts in the country, in case you needed some local travel inspo.
The annual ranking looks at more than 35,000 hotels and resorts across the globe. And in Canada, there are over one hundred recognized resorts, which they’ve narrowed down to a list of the top 25. What’s more, the U.S. ranking only includes luxury hotels that consistently receive a four or five-star “hotel class” rating.
The rankings follow a comprehensive methodology that factors in a variety of elements, including each hotel’s star rating, the opinions of published travel experts, and customer reviews on TripAdvisor.
As for the top 5? Four Seasons Whistler and Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island top the list, followed by Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Manoir Hovey in Quebec, and Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
In order to rank resorts for the list, they created a Hotel Score based on several factors like Awards & Recognition, a hotel’s class rating, and a hotel’s guest rating.
You can view the full list of recognized resorts here, or filter by province or amenities.
