Ontario park ranks as one of Canada’s best spots to see the Orionids Meteor Shower

In a new ranking by OntarioCasinos, Pukaskwa National Park in Ontario is named one of the best national parks in Canada to see the meteor shower’s peak.

Described as “one of the most beautiful showers of the year”, the Orionids Meteor Shower will peak this Saturday, October 21st.

To get the results, the ranking analyzed sky quality and light pollution, as well as Instagram popularity in every national park across Canada to find out which ones are the best for stargazing.

The parks were then given scores based on various categories, including their Google review score, sky quality meter, brightness, and overall stargazing score.

Ontario’s Pukaswka National Park landed in 7th place out of 10 parks with an overall stargazing score of 8.31 out of 10.

The park shares its spot in the ranking with Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan.

Sitting on the shores of Lake Superior, this stunning biodiverse park is a haven for wildlife. It’s full of remote wilderness and light pollution-free skies, making it an ideal place to spot shooting stars.

Around 15 to 20 shooting stars will light the night every hour during its peak this Saturday.
