New list reveals “arguably” the best cities to live in Ontario

That’s it, pack your bags! We’re looking at the best cities to live in Ontario according to a new list. And if you don’t already live in one of these cities, it might be time to move. We’re only kidding! Take a look at the top 5 spots that made the list.

Real estate company Remax shared its list of what they claim to be “arguably the best cities to live in Ontario.” Big and small, Ontario has it all – there’s a reason why it’s one of the most desired provinces to live in, at least Remax thinks so.

“It’s where millions of people, including those from across the globe, come to plant new roots,” states the list. And since it’s so desired, it’s also pretty expensive, depending on where you live. That’s a conversation for another day.

Anyway, according to Remax’s list, the top city they claim to be the best to live in is none other than Toronto.

But “why”, you may ask? Besides the fact that it’s Canada’s largest city, full of diversity, arts, strong restaurant scene, and more, Toronto is full of opportunities.

“With its multicultural environment and many job opportunities, Toronto is very popular among students, young adults, single people, and young couples. The city has an extensive public transportation system. One thing to remember is that the cost of living in Toronto can be high, with high rents and expensive real estate,” states Remax.

“Toronto is a true metropolis and is popular among tourists from all over the world. The traffic can be a bit of a headache for people, but those who become accustomed to life in Toronto feel entirely at home.”

Second, on the list is Ottawa, Canada’s capital.

“It is the fourth largest city in Ontario and offers its residents a high quality of life and a strong economy. The city is known for its museums, galleries, theatres, and numerous outdoor activities. It is an immaculate and safe city. The crime rate is meagre, and the standard of living is relatively high,” states Remax.

In third place falls Hamilton which may come as a shock for some of us but nonetheless, a beloved city. In fourth is Waterloo and last but definitely not least, Kingston in fifth.

Whether you agree with this list or not, Remax did say they were “arguably the best” for a reason.
