There’s a suspension bridge in Ontario with waterfall views along freshwater springs

Need to get away from the hustle and bustle? Located less than two hours outside of Toronto, you’ll find trails leading to a suspension bridge with stunning views, a perfect way to reconnect with nature. Belfountain Conservation Area has lots to offer and is open seven days a week.

The park was recently restored to help protect and manage the natural and cultural heritage of the property, so if you pay a visit, be sure to respect the land and structures.

There are four different trails you can take advantage of:

  • Trimble Side Trail
  • Gorge Trail
  • Riverside Trail
  • Bide-a-Wee Trail

Each trail ranges in difficulty, so be sure to check out each one and map out your path before you set off.

To get to the foot suspension bridge that overlooks the West Credit River’s fresh water springs and a picturesque waterfall, you can access it from either the Riverside Trail or the Gorge Trail.

There are also Accessible Trails for all users, including wheelchairs and strollers. The paths are flat and wide, and the surfaces are firm and stable. There are no stairs or obstacles along these paths either.

If you’re planning a visit, then you’ll need to book a vehicle reservation ahead of time, as getting one at the gate is first-come, first-served, with admission fees costing $3.50 to $8 per person, depending on your age.

Get outside and take advantage of the views at Belfountain Conservation Area, Ontario.

Belfountain Conservation Area

When: Open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Belfountain Conservation Area, 819 Forks of the Credit Rd., Caledon, Ont.
