One of the world’s largest ferry operators is in B.C. & they’re hiring for dozens of jobs

Ready to put yourself out there and see where you land? There are tons of career opportunities if you know where to look, and right now, over 30 open jobs await at BC Ferries. The team of over 5,000 employees serves B.C.’s coastal communities in a variety of roles, from architects to crew members. As one of the largest ferry operators in the world, BC Ferries ensures the safe travel of over 60,000 passengers daily, and has been in operation for more than 60 years.

“We are cooks, captains, customer service professionals, and more,” says BC Ferries on its website. “We live in cities of three million and on islands of 300, and take pride in connecting our customers to the places and people important in their lives.”

  • SharePoint Solutions Designer – Various locations
  • Third Officer – Delta
  • Chief Steward – Nanaimo
  • Associate Technical Analyst, Service Desk – Victoria
  • Project Naval Architect
  • Project Mechanical Engineer – Various locations
  • Administrative Assistant, Terminal Maintenance – West Vancouver
  • Crewing Officer – West Vancouver
  • Legal & Regulatory Support – Co-op, Internship or Work Study – Victoria
  • Third Officer LV – Nanaimo
  • Manager, Labour Relations – Various locations
  • Terminal Attendant – Langdale
  • Terminal Services Attendant – Crofton/Chemainus
  • Senior Accounting Clerk – Accounts Receivable – Victoria

Note that application deadlines for a couple of these roles are coming up on March 29 and 30, 2025, and the first week of April. Others will accept applications until mid to late April and May, so make sure to check carefully for the closing date of the position you’re interested in.
