July is here and so is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those who truly believe that pink is a lifestyle – not just a colour. In anticipation of the upcoming Barbie movie, one company is looking for a Canadian to watch and rank the animated films starring Mattel’s beloved blonde and it could be you!
“On the verge of the hotly-anticipated release of Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, we’re looking for one lucky fashion doll film fanatic to relish in the ultimate Barbie blast from the past by watching and ranking the 16 original Barbie movies,” Casino.ca, the company behind the contest, explains.

“If you fancy yourself a Barbie movie maven, or you’re ready to watch the original films for the first time, here’s your chance to earn $1,000 (ca. $1,325 CAD) plus a paid trip to your local movie theatre to see Barbie after it’s released on July 20.”
Currently taking applications, this job will require the winner to watch, rank and write a brief synopsis of nearly 20 movies over a period of 7 days.
From Barbie in the Nutcracker, Swan Lake and the acclaimed Barbie in the Nutcracker, this list is extensive and should be taken very seriously.
Once completed, this lucky fan will be given $66 CAD to see Greta Gerwig’s live-action adaption – then must reorder their list accordingly.
Once all is said and done, the winner will cash out and can truthfully add ‘professional movie critic’ to their resume.
Interested? Contestants must be 21 years of age or older, live in Canada or the United States and should apply before July 16, 2023, at 11:59 pm EST.
