This Alberta hotel & spa was just named one of the ‘world’s finest’

Looking to treat yourself to an extra special trip this year? Albertans won’t have to go very far to experience something spectacular! With 2023 in full swing, The Forbes Travel GuideStar has revealed their 2023 Award Winners and wouldn’t you know it – one Rocky Mountain destination made the cut!

Featuring the world’s most luxurious experiences – this annual list is carefully curated by globetrotters for globetrotters, and is the only independent global rating system for high-end hotels, restaurants and spas.

“We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights,” they explain.

“While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most..”

These star ratings are as follows: Five-Star, Four-Star, Recommended, and Soon To Be Rated – and Alberta? They managed to snag a 4-star rating!

Known for its stunning views and incredible service, The Fairmont Banff Springs and Willow Stream Spa was revered for its close proximity to hiking trails, forests, and exhilarating activities as well as its golf course. restaurants and pool.

Here, guests can experience magical mountain ranges and of course, a relaxing massage or a soak in the mineral pool – which was a major contributing factor to its verification.

Other Canadian winners, to appear on the Forbes Travel GuideStar list for 2023? Of 34 Northern recipients, we saw The Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec, Café Boulud Toronto, The Douglas, Autograph Collection in Vancouver and the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
