Banff is hosting an Easter egg hunt in the mountains

Sure, you could always wait around for the Easter bunny. OR you can head up to the stunning peaks overlooking Banff and hunt for eggs like never before! There’s a huge Easter egg hunt happening in the mountains this month, and it looks like a great time, no matter how old you are.

Head over to the stunning Mt. Norquay overlooking Banff village and celebrate Easter the Albertan way. In the snow!

Hunt for thousands of hidden eggs in all sorts of nooks and crannies. There will only be one big hunt, and it starts on Saturday, April 20, 2025, at 10 a.m. sharp. Doors open at 9 a.m., so we recommend getting there early.

Bring your family and friends and score some sweet treats in the snow. You just have to find them.

We will admit that this event does lean a bit more towards the family-oriented, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a great time, too. Bring your child, niece, nephew, or neighbour’s kid (with their permission) and have a great time frolicking in the snow looking for eggs.

If you plan to go, make sure you sign up in advance, as there are only 200 spots available. Tickets are a minimum $5 donation, with all proceeds going to the Bow Valley Food Bank.

Hunt for eggs, play in the snow and do some good this Easter.
