The Ballard Locks is hosting a free concert series with stunning views this summer

Looking to enjoy outdoor concerts in a beautiful setting, for free? It’s time to head to Ballard because the Ballard Locks has a whole series of free concerts that you can check out each weekend until the end of summer. Here’s what to expect from the concerts.

Now until September 4th, you can listen to a selection of concerts from local bands, ensembles, and groups. The concerts take place on Saturdays and Sundays and range in genre from jazz to big band, classic hits, flute ensembles, and more.

Just imagine, you can listen to new music all while taking in the stunning views of the Locks themselves and the expertly manicured grounds.

All concerts are free but donations are suggested. Donations can be made on-site or online and “100% of donations go to help pay for volunteer performances, garden upkeep, and educational programs at the Locks.”

All you have to do to enjoy the concerts is simply bring your own chairs and blankets. Keep in mind that concert dates and times are subject to change without notice so be sure to visit the Ballard Locks social media before visiting.
