If you’ve been shopping online for Article furniture pieces, you can finally check out its selection in person (soon). The Canadian furniture brand, known for selling contemporary, mid-century and modern furniture, is set to open a physical store in Toronto in late 2026, its second ever following the Vancouver location.
The store will be located in the heart of downtown at 90 Bathurst St., spanning a whopping 9,600 sq. ft. — bigger than the current Vancouver location.
“For more than a decade, Article succeeded through a digital-first model, meeting consumer demand for modern furniture online,” says Aamir Baig, co-founder and CEO of Article.
“Over the past 18 months, we’ve seen how physical retail can deepen customer connections and strengthen our presence in key markets. As we expand, we’ll focus on store locations in North American cities where e-commerce performance is already strong, using retail to build on that momentum and make it easier to experience Article in person.”
Shoppers can experience “curated vignettes, an extensive swatch library, and free interior design services.”
If you’re shopping with children, there’s a dedicated spot for little ones, making your trip to Article even smoother.
The Toronto expansion is just the beginning, too. Article says it plans to expand to the U.S. market as well, with five locations planned by early 2027.
Happy shopping, Toronto!
When: Opening late 2026
