If you feel like heading up North for a drive this week we have just the spot for you. We’re talking about the Price Sculpture Forest in Coupeville. So hop the ferry or enjoy a beautiful drive to an even more beautiful forest.
The Price Sculpture Forest is very new and is a testament to land conservation. In 2008, the Price family intended on building a home here but decided otherwise. So they were left with 15.1 acres and many possibilities. So they ended up reaching out to the Whidbey Camano Land Trust who helped them preserve the land from future development. But the park itself actually just opened this past October!

And that means since 2008, this beautiful parcel of land has slowly been turning into an amazing public art location and park. But what’s extra cool about the space is that anyone can submit a potential sculpture to the park. That being said, the sculpture does have to be approved, and using natural materials like wood, rocks, shells, etc is preferred.
So whether you want to check out the already existing works or submit your own, the Price Sculpture Forest is absolutely worth visiting. After all, we can probably all benefit from a change-up in our walking locations. And on that note, the park has a self-guided tour that you can do with your phone and there’s no fee to access the park.
