This is why Canadians are so nice, according to Andrew Schulz & Joe Rogan

For as long as Canadians have held a reputation for being incredibly kind, people have also wondered why. Recently, on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the host and his guest, comedian Andrew Schulz discussed how cultures evolve with circumstance and politeness in the Great North quickly became a hot topic.

In Schulz’s opinion, it has everything to do with the weather – even calling out some especially chilly places like Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta.

“It’s out of control”: Luke Combs just gushed about this Alberta destination on Joe Rogan’s podcast

“You look at like Canadians, right – and a lot of people are like Canadians are so nice,” he said.

“It’s like, think about how difficult life was in Canada before big cities… I’m talking about, go to Calgary, I’m talking about Edmonton. Like yeah, your neighbours are going to be nice to you when your life is dependent on it.”

“Yeah, and it’s negative 90° outside,” added Rogan.

“Negative f**cking 90° degrees and we all have a cow farm or horses and they hay isn’t there – and you need to feed ’em, I need to be able to go to you and say, hey – do you have some hay because all my cattle are going to f**cking die. That’s going to create kindness!” Schulz concluded.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time this month that Alberta has been mentioned on this particular podcast, with Luke Combs describing a trip he recently took to Banff.

“It’s out of control man,” Combs said about the Rockies. “I mean I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Now, obviously, we’ll never really know why Canadians are actually so kind, but why does it matter really? No matter the reason, we take pride in people noticing, so keep the content coming! We love to hear it.
