This year, like so many other events in the last year, things will look a little bit different but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still celebrate! Here are 5 amazing International Women’s Day events where you can do exactly that this March.

International Women’s Day Online Celebration

Mingle, mix and challenge yourself at the Women’s Day Online Celebration brought to life by the Women’s Centre of Calgary. During this virtual event, registered guests can network, will play some trivia, and can interview community leaders and entrepreneurs. Get your tickets now!

Check out the Wallace Gallery Women’s Day Group Exhibit

This month, celebrate the incredible achievements of female artists at the Wallace Gallery where they’ve put together an incredible exhibit featuring the works of  Nancy Boyd, Isla Burns, Camrose Ducote, Jennifer Hornyak, and more.

This year, not only has Southcentre put a spotlight on female-owned businesses, but they’ve also collaborated with several local artists to paint murals throughout the mall and started a movement. show your solitary in celebrating female achievements and challenging inequality by sharing a photo with #ChooseToChallenge on Instagram all month long!

Attend one of STAND ASA’S events

Sunday, March 7th S.T.A.N.D. Against Sexual Assault, an organization that provides peer support and education to survivors invites you to attend one of many virtual events. Make inspirational signs with Lynssy Plunz, decorate cookies with Christa Bachmeier, or join the after-party hosted by Danaye Maier from Virgin Radio. They have a full day of incredible opportunities to celebrate, uplift, and support women and Women’s Day.
