Reacher star Alan Ritchson got his very own Toronto cookie & it’s for a good cause

Just last month “Reacher,” star Alan Ritchson shouted out Toronto cookie shop Craig’s Cookies in a social media post while filming the show’s third season in the city. Well, it looks like the actor’s love for the beloved cookies has come full circle, with Craig’s Cookies giving him his own limited-edition cookie!

Here are all the details on the collaboration.

As of Thursday, Torontonians can swing by any of the four GTA Craig’s Cookies locations to get a taste of “The Alan.” The cookie is in honour of Alan Ritchson following his public shout-out declaring his love for Craig’s Cookies.

Ritchson and Craig Pike, founder of Craig’s Cookies, created the limited-edition cookie, with all proceeds going to support CAMH: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

If you want to try the cookie you’ll have to venture to one of the locations in The Village, Parkdale, Leaside or Leslieville as it will be sold in-store only (not online) for $4 until Thursday, February 29.

If you’re wondering what the flavours of this cookie are, you won’t be disappointed. “The Alan” is a mix of dark chocolate chips from Toronto’s own Soul Chocolate and butterscotch chips made with Craig’s Cookies famous (and secret) cookie recipe.

According to Craig’s Cookies, Pike reached out to Ritchson in January to thank him for his incredible support of his small Canadian business, proposing the idea of a special cookie in his name to express his gratitude.

The actor was honoured and jumped at the opportunity, and even did a personal taste test this week at Craig’s Cookies Leslieville location.

“Craig’s Cookies has always supported local and community organizations, and we couldn’t be happier to team up with Alan Ritchson to support CAMH, one of Canada’s leading research hospitals supporting individuals’ mental health,” said Pike.

I’ll be grabbing a batch of “The Alan,” cookies ASAP!
