A new, experiential LEGO store is coming to West Edmonton Mall

Guess what, folks! LEGO is bringing another store to Edmonton, and it’s going to be an absolutely crazy space in West Edmonton Mall. According to Retail Insider, the new LEGO store in West Ed will be similar to the one in the Mall of America. Here’s why it’ll be worth checking out.

If you haven’t had the chance to see the LEGO store at Mall of America in all its glory, you’ve been missing out. It’s practically the mecca for LEGO, outside of making a trip to Legoland. The store features 3D renderings when you scan a box, a variety of ways to test out the LEGO, and even massive sculptures, including a tiger and a helicopter.

We’re just spitballing, but we think that LEGO is trusting that Edmonton will be a good spot for this new store. Why? Well, turns out that Mall of America and West Edmonton Mall are owned by the same company. So, they’ve probably got some solid insight into shopping habits at each place.

But we digress, according to the sign inside West Ed, the new LEGO will be ready by the end of 2020. We’re even going to guess that it’ll be open before the holiday season!

So, stay tuned for an official opening announcement.
