A Jurassic Expo with animatronic life-sized dinosaurs is coming to Alberta this fall

Call us juvenile, but we still lose our damn minds when it comes to dinosaurs. Whether it’s a trip to the Calgary Zoo, Jurassic Forest, or to the Royal Tyrell Museum – there’s literally nothing that warms our hearts quite like a little prehistoric whimsy. For this reason, you can bet your butts that we’ll be at The Dinosaur Expo, which is stopping in both Edmonton and Calgary this fall.

Featuring 19 walking, ‘breathing,’ blinking, creatures – this Jurassic-themed event is mean to celebrate and educate Albertans of all ages about the larger-than-life lizards that roamed the earth 250 million years ago.

With a catalogue of photo ops and 20-metre tall dinos, this 3-day festival will first be arriving in Edmonton from September 24-26, then picking up and hitting Calgary from October 8-11.

Of course, because COVID is still very much a factor, physical distancing will be in effect – however, it will be outdoors so there will be plenty of room for that!

Interested? Timed tickets (in hopes of keeping guests staggard and safe) are on sale below or at the door – but don’t hesitate! They’re selling out quickly and if you’re anything like us – you’re not going to want to miss this.

We’ll see you guys out there, folks. Enjoy!
