6 incredible hikes you can do this summer near Vancouver

Alright, Vancouver, we love ourselves some city views just as much as the next person, but nothing quite compares to gettin’ out of it every now and then and finding ourselves smack in the middle of nature. The only things to think about? What trail to hit, and what snacks to bring.

With that in mind, we teamed up with Herbaland, Canada’s largest nutritional gummy manufacturer, to bring you a list of 6 incredible hikes you can do this summer near Vancouver. As for snacks? Herbaland just launched their brand new trio line of Snack Healthy Packs, and these healthy (and very tasty) gummies are the perfect hiking companion to keep you fed and happy. Made right here in beautiful BC in 100% compostable pouches, they’re vegan, gluten-free and come in Ginger and Turmeric, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Vitamin C.

So, ready to see what trails we’re hitting?

Eagle Bluffs Trail

Sure there may be a tiny bit of scrambling involved here, but when views of Vancouver, Georgia Straight, West Vancouver, Howe Sound, Bowen Island, and Gibsons are up for grabs? We say it’s worth it. Check it out on a hot day and cool off in Cabin Lake along the way (and a few snack breaks)!

Where: Cypress Provincial Park
Distance: 8 KM
Difficulty: Moderate

Slesse Memorial Trail

Located southeast of Chilliwack, the Slesse Memorial Trail is a testament to incredible hikes outside of the Whistler area. This intermediate hike takes roughly 6 hours to complete, but rewards hikers with amazing views of Mount Slesse. Don’t miss the propeller, either, which serves as a memorial to one of Canada’s worst aviation disasters.

Where: South of Chilliwack Lake Road
Distance: 12 KM
Difficulty: Intermediate

Nairn Falls

Lying between Whistler and Pemberton, Nairn Falls is a short but sweet hike boasting not one, but two beautiful waterfalls. Luckily, it’s also the perfect spot for a picnic near the falls.

Where: Along highway 99, between Whistler and Pemberton
Distance: 3 KM
Difficulty: Easy

Crooked Falls

A gorgeous hike that ends at an incredible waterfall? Sold. Luckily, Crooked Falls also offers up tons of scenic views of the Squamish Valley along the way that are the perfect spot for a photo-op.

Where: Upper Squamish Valley, off Sigurd Trail
Distance: 6 KM
Difficulty: Intermediate

Dog Mountain

We know we told you to escape the city, but we’ll let Dog Mountain slide. If incredible city views in the distance is your thing – this is not one to sleep on. For those of us who are looking to switch up our usual routine, try hiking this one in the evening for a beautiful city-scape light display.

Where: Mount Seymour Ski Resort main parking lot
Distance: 5 KM
Difficulty: Easy

Norvan Falls

Remember when we told you to bring snacks? Yeah, you’re going to wanna bring some to Norvan Falls. The end of this hike will reward you with a breathtaking waterfall that we’re positive you will want to hang out by and take it in. Don’t worry about losing interest along the 7KM trek to the end though, the hike offers plenty of beautiful forests and scenic North Vancouver mountains along the way!

Where: Lynn Headwaters Regional Park
Distance: 14 KM
Difficulty: Moderate

There you have it, team! A few hikes to check out (or re-explore) this summer. Ready to grab your sneaks and pack your Hiking bag full of delicious and healthy snacks? Check out Herbaland’s Snack Healthy Gummies here!
