Look, Canada has a lot of great cities from coast to coast, but it’s no secret that some are better than other when it comes to raising a family. A recent study revealed that three Canadian spots made the top 10 list of best cities for families in the entire world. And two of Canada’s most prominent locations, Toronto and Vancouver, didn’t make the cut.
All of the data was compiled and then scored by relocation company Movinga, who evaluated 150 major cities. Each location was judged on livability, education, employment rates and benefits, and business opportunities, among other things.
In first was Helsinki, Finland. This was thanks to its absolutely insane 1,190 days of parental leave, bomb health care, and high-quality education.

Two Canadian spots make NY Times list of top places to visit in 2020
In a close 2nd came the very gorgeous Quebec City. It topped the rankings for affordable housing, while 8th placed Calgary came in 1st for education. Montreal finished in 9th place, while Ottawa finished just outside the top 10 in a very respectable 14th.
Here’s the rest of Movinga’s top 10 list!
1. Helsinki, Finland
2. Quebec City, Canada
3. Oslo, Norway
4. Munich, Germany
5. Copenhagen, Denmark
6. Stockholm, Sweden
7. Reykjavik, Iceland
8. Calgary, Canada
9. Montreal, Canada
10. Gothenburg, Sweden
