It’s the last full week of August, friends! And the month isn’t going quietly into that good night, with the forecast calling for some seriously hot days. Of course, that just means even more options around Edmonton this week, so we’re not complaining about it.
Here are the best things to do in Edmonton this week.
It’s a good week for music lovers, that’s for sure. Action Bronson is like conscious rap for people who love weed and good food. Full disclosure- we might just be a part of that group, so we’re looking forward to the concert.
When: Tuesday, August 23rd
Where: 6240 99 St NW
Cost: $43.50+
It’s been like mid-tier nostalgia madness for concerts in Edmonton this August, no? Float On with Modest Mouse midweek, for some classic summertime indie rock vibes.
When: Wednesday, August 24th
Where: 9797 Jasper Avenue

Yeah, one of the most iconic bands, well, ever is coming to Edmonton! The only problem? If you want it that way, it’ll set you back hundreds.
When: Friday, August 26th
Where: 10220 104 Avenue NW

Last but not least, we’ve got an elevated, outdoors option! Opera al Fresco is returning to the U of A Botanic Garden this week, for a very cultured night out.
When: Friday, August 26th

Cost: $70 for GA
A little outdoor movie action sounds like a great family friendly pick. This week, go check out the cult classic Josie and the Pussycats.

Sunflowers, that is! The Sunflower Maze at the Edmonton Corn Maze is now open, and is a great option for getting out and about after work this week.

Psst… hoping to save a few bucks? Reminder that since it’s the last Thursday of the month, the AGA is offering free admission on Thursday night from 4PM to 7PM.
When: Thursday, August 25th
Where: 2 Sir Winston Churchill Square
Cost: $14
Speaking of artsy stuff… Enjoy the works of one of the world’s best painters, in a level of detail that rivals actually, you know, booking a flight to France to see them in person.
When: Open throughout the week
Where: 7515 118 Avenue NW
Cost: $34.95+ for GA
We love golf, so we’re going to go ahead and recommend that this week as well. Get out for a full round, or just go mess around on the driving range! It works well, especially since this city’s municipal courses are top-notch.
When: Open throughout the week
Where: Locations around Edmonton
Cost: $20+
For some classic summer fun, we think Fort Edmonton Park is the move! It’s great in its own right, but, it’s also partnered with the TELUS World of Science for a 2-for-1 deal on general admission. A very solid deal, if you ask us.
When: Open throughout the week
Where: 7000 143 Street NW
Tickets: $26.20
That’s what we’ve got in mind for this week, Edmonton!
