Welcome to September folks! There is a whole lot on the docket this week between eats, fairs, rodeos, and art. For once you might actually have to pick and choose with how many options you have. Here are 10 of the best things to do in & around Seattle this week.
Lil Woody’s but make it seafood. This month-long event features local chefs taking their seafood spin on Lil Woody’s burgers. You can enjoy bites like a halibut burger, a rockfish burger, and even a take on McDonald’s ‘Filet O Fish’. Today’s the last day it’s on, so get down there while you still can!

The Deconstructed Art Fair is the substitute for the larger Seattle Art Fair which draws local, national, and international galleries. But what makes it extra cool is that it allows for smaller and local galleries to get a larger audience. In fact, this year there are over 50 galleries participating and you can visit them all on your own time online and in person.

Each week on Tuesday you can attend a drag happy hour at Chop Suey. You’ll be able to watch drag icon Jane Don’t and three of Seattle’s other premiere drag beauties do their thing. It’s sure to be the most fun you’ve had at a happy hour in a while.

A new Seattle coffee company is shaking things up a bit with their coffee. Want to know why? It’s because their coffee blends are full of adaptogenic mushrooms chosen specifically to help you be your best. Best of all, they have a pop-up where you can test the coffee!

The Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days takes place this September 1st-5th and has a huge lineup of entertainment. You can experience a hypnotist, a battle of the bands, wood carving, dock dogs, demolition derby, a rodeo, and more. Like other fairs around the state, you can also check out all sorts of livestock and tasty fair food.

The Ellensburg Rodeo happens every Labor Day Weekend and is actually Washington’s oldest rodeo. Visitors can watch pro cowboys compete for grand prizes at the main event and also watch the PRCA Xtreme Bulls Presented by Wrangler. Watching this rodeo is truly an unforgettable and age-old Washington tradition.

This unique show features cyanotype series by artists Meagan Viken, Heidi Khrone, Destini Cole, Mike Hawkins, Jack Dondanville and Ambrose. If you end up falling in love with a piece you might just be able to purchase it and take it home. It’s a great intersection between painting and photography.

Ready to get your fair on? Well, you can in person this summer thanks to The Evergreen State Fair. You can enjoy cute animals, delicious fair food, and of course rides. It’s a Washington State tradition that you don’t want to miss out on. SO get out there and have some fun!

One of Seattle’s best and also sneakiest galleries has a great show that you can only check out on the weekends. Right now you can see works by Molly Magai, Tessa O’Brien, Emil Robinson, Gail Spaien, Jay Stern. “This show brings together a group of paintings that explore spaces and the characteristics by which we know them.”
