The season of treasure hunting is here, Calgary and the CORE wants to see you out and about this Father’s Day weekend! In partnership with the Calgary Downtown Association, the inner city shopping centre is encouraging people of all ages to put their heads, feet, and peepers to the test in hopes of winning the grand prize of $500 to spend at the mall!

It all kicks off Saturday, June 19th with 12 clues and a map meant to help guide you through a series of riddles and brain teasers. Each correct answer will get you one step closer to winning the money, a title, and bragging rights until next year – all of which are pretty solid takeaways, don’t you think?!

Of course, like every other event this summer, safety protocols will be in place, but they’re nothing that we haven’t seen before!

“We wanted to create a safe, family-friendly activity for Calgarians to enjoy together this Father’s Day, and with the help from our friends at the Calgary Downtown Association and Treasure League, I think we’ve come up with something really fun,” said Allison Onyett, Marketing Director for The CORE Shopping Centre.

In addition to receiving an email with instructions, the first 200 people to register will actually receive a swag bag full of goodies from participating businesses and CORE retailers so it’s worth getting yourself on their list as soon as possible! That sure made it easier, didn’t it?
