You can rent this secluded rainforest estate in BC that feels like a 5-star spa resort

After a year or so of poking around, we’ve finally stumbled across an absolutely stunning rental property nestled in the BC rainforest. Ok actually, we’ve already found that. But! We had no idea that Bowen Island was home to such an incredible property. We thought it was all artist studios and artisanal farms. Still good, but not exactly what we’re after.

So, you can imagine our surprise when we came across this option. Perched atop a hill, this eco-friendly estate offers some of the best views of the West Coast. And, it has all the amenities that come with a 5-star retreat in Switzerland.

That’s probably why it’s been dubbed a ‘Euro-Zen retreat’. While we checked in with our Swiss friends (they can’t tell us what it means either), we have a good feeling why it got this name. On the property, you’ve got a steam shower, a heated pool, and an infrared sauna.

Outside the home, there’s hiking, bird watching, and nature walks to go on. Heck, you can even go skating on the lake at the back of the property in the winter. But, we’d suggest gauging the depth of the ice before you lace those bad boys up. Safety first, folks!

Sprawling across 6,500 or so square feet, this property comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. Plus, the design includes not one but two guest suites, so privacy for a couples’ retreat won’t be an issue. Know what will be? Deciding who gets the master suite. We suggest drawing straws for it.

But hey, we’d be happy to sleep on a cot in the garage if it means we can hang out here for a few days. That’s probably all we can afford anyway since this property costs a cool $2,755 a night.
