Ontario’s worst roads have been revealed & some are in Toronto

Drivers, take note. The worst roads in Ontario have been revealed for 2023 and you’ll definitely want both hands on the wheel as you drive through these areas.

The CAA Worst Road for 2023 is an annual ranking based on feedback from drivers all over the province.

The list names the worst roads in Ontario by region and has been verified by the Residential and Civil Construction Alliance of Ontario (RCCAO).

As you can imagine, some roads have appeared on this list for several years. However, four new roads also debuted for the first time on the provincial list.

The new roads include Laclie Street in Orillia, Steeles Avenue East, in Toronto, Aberdeen Avenue in Hamilton, and Hurontario Street in Mississauga.

For the second year in a row, Hamilton’s Barton Street East has claimed the top spot for the most problematic road in the province.

“Barton Street’s persistent issues with potholes and severe alligator cracking in the pavement have led to its dubious distinction,” said CAA.

Here are the worst roads in Ontario for 2023.
