You might already know what we’re talking about, but if you don’t, we’re talking about Zoo Doo. This magical substance is actually feces that come from the Woodland Park Zoo’s herbivores (excluding primates). So that means your garden will be flourishing thanks to animals like tapirs, mountain goats, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, and zebras. Talk about an exotic garden!

Basically, Zoo Doo works by enhancing your soil’s water and nutrient retention which also improves the soil texture. That means it’s best for vegetables and annuals and this year is the first time that the compost has been available in summer. And with prices for the compost ranging from $12-$90 it’s absolutely worth it to hop on the lottery if you have a garden.

If you end up winning a spot in the Zoo Doo lottery you can choose from a minimum amount of 10 gallons up a pickup truck bed. So you can go as big or as little as you need and want. You have until July 9th to enter and will be asked to pick up your doo on either July 24th or 25th. Honestly, we might just have to enter the lottery this year.
