Well folks, Washington just got a little more recognition for being a beautiful state. Because The Cascade Loop just got a National Scenic Byway designation. So if you haven’t taken a road trip in a while, now might just be the time.
The Cascade Loop which encompasses parts of Highway 20 to the north and Highway 2 to the south is now federally recognized for being pretty. But hey, us Washingtonians already knew that. That being said, it’s actually a pretty big deal because the last time a road in Washington got recognized like this was in 2005.

So give it up for The Cascade Loop. And obviously, if you haven’t checked it out, now is a perfect time. The loop is 440 miles long and takes you through the North Cascades, multiple counties, and even islands. It’s truly something to see.
