Washington is all about being a green state and it turns out that our hard work pays off. A new study from Filter King has revealed the cleanest states in the nation and Washington ranks high on the list. Not only that but we’re excelling in other areas of green living as well. Let’s take a look at the details
The cleanest states rank as follows.
Look at us go! One of the reasons that we keep things so clean is that Washington has a lower population density than many other states in the nation. That factor helps keep our air fresh and pollution levels low. And even if things don’t feel clean all the time you can be glad that we’re not one the dirtiest states in the nation. Because you’re probably wondering, the dirtiest states are Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi.

As we mentioned, Washington ranked favorably in some other areas of this study as well. We came in #10 when it comes to states that recycle the most, #3 for states with the best air quality, and #2 for states with the biggest electric vehicle take-up. Looks like the rest of the nation has some catching up to do.
It kinda feels like a no-brainer that Washington is so clean but hey it’s nice to have it backed up with some cold hard numbers. If you’d like to see the entire report you can click here to get all the deets. With that, enjoy folks!
