Happy Thursday, Vancouver! Even though the forecast calls for rain, we think you should still find some great things to do in the city this weekend. From concerts to festivals and a whole lot more, you’ve got options for indoor fun, and you should take advantage of it.

Here are 8 things to do in Vancouver this weekend.

Facade Festival

This is an easy one because all you have to do is walk by the north side of the Vancouver Art Gallery to see massive projections from local and international artists. Isn’t projection mapping some crazy technology? We sure think it is.

When: Now until Saturday, September 14, sunset to midnight every night
Where: Vancouver Art Gallery
Cost: Free 99!

Westward Music Festival

A ton of bands and artists will be descending upon Vancouver’s concert venues for this three day long music festival. Curious about who to check out? We wrote a guide to our top 5 acts during Westward.

When: Now until Sunday, September 15
Where: Multiple venues
Cost: Tickets start at $15

Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

The second largest celebration of the Chinese calendar comes to the Sun-Yat Sen Garden this week. This year, their focus is on tea, the moon and art. Sounds equal parts relaxing and fun!

When: Friday, September 13
Where: Sun-Yat Sen Chinese Garden
Cost: Donation of $5 suggested

Maggie Rogers

Although it’s no longer associated with her music, we have to give a shout out to a person that Pharrell himself has ‘zero notes for’. Catch the early train and check out her show, even if you have to pay resale prices.

When: Friday, September 13
Where: Orpheum Theatre
Tickets: Start as low as $50

Whistler Village Beer Festival

While the festival goes on all week, what you want to do is head there for the final Sunday. That way, you can enjoy everything available and you don’t have to worry about taking a day off of work.

When: Now until September 15
Where: Whistler
Price: $35

The Polygon Gallery

These guys will be exhibiting ‘maybe the greatest film you’ve ever seen’, in the words of author Zadie Smith. The Clock by Christian Marclay is a 24-hour montage that mimics the minutiae of a full day. Sounds trippy, because it is, and you should check it out.

When: On until September 15
Cost: By donation

Vancouver Eastside 10K

So you want to test yourself one last time before winter rolls around. Well, you’re in luck, because you can do so this month. Sure, it’ll be rainy (probably) but all you need to do is wear some waterproof gear and you’ll be good to go.

When: Saturday, September 14
Cost: $50

UFC Fight Night

Fight Night 158 will definitely be one to remember, as Cowboy Cerrone faces off against Justin Gaethje. Ranked 5th and 4th in the lightweight division respectively, the main fight is going to be wild.

When: Saturday, September 14
Where: Rogers Arena
Cost: $110 and up

And there you have it, Vancouver! All the things to do this weekend in the city. Find us having a ball at Maggie Rogers and staring weirdly at The Clock. How about you? What are you going to get up to?
