8 things to do in Vancouver this weekend (November 20-22)

Hey there Vancouver, are you guys ready for another weekend? We certainly are and we’re honestly still a little confused as to how the month is already almost over. Weren’t we just figuring out what to do for our non-party Halloween plans? Good lord, island time has nothing on COVID time. Regardless, we’re excited to see what’s happening in Vancouver this weekend and think you will be too.

Here are 8 things to do in Vancouver this weekend.

Peak of Christmas

This mountaintop light display returns to Grouse Mountain and is a great double-whammy option. Why? Because admission also grants access to skating at Blue Grouse Lake. Definitely one of the more wintry options for seeing lights, and we’re down for it.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest at the Rio Theatre

There’s nothing quite like a movie at the Rio Theatre to spice up your weekend. And this weekend you can see the classic film, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. So if you need craziness in your life this weekend, don’t miss out on watching this film.

Club Sofa

If you need to dance the week away you can check out this streaming event. You can expect art, music, virtual performances, safe spaces, and more at Club Sofa. So if you want a new weekly dance party to check out, they’ve got you covered.

Live Pop-Up Shop

The Craft Council of British Columbia is hosting live pop-up shopping events online every Saturday. So if you’ve missed supporting local artists and crafts makers this is a great way to do so. Not to mention you might even get to see a demo or two.

Twilight Drive-In Holiday Winter Festival

Go on an Eastside Culture Crawl

The much-loved Eastside Culture Crawl is returning for its 24th year next month! While things look a little different, you can still book studio tours, listen to artist talks, and much more. If getting into Vancouver’s art scene has been on your to-do list, then this is a great starting point.

The Amaryllis at the Firehall Arts Centre

A while ago we reminded you all that the Firehall Arts Centre is back in action. So with that in mind, if you need some live theatre in your life you can head down this weekend for a performance. Right now you can see The Amaryllis which is a “mystery about what it really takes to grow, and a comedy about what it really takes to change”.
