We’ve got a big weekend ahead of us, folks. Valentine’s Day tomorrow, Family Day on Monday… looks like our list of things to do has got a high bar to clear. Well, we didn’t do show jumping for 8 years for no reason. Let’s get out there and strut our stuff! There are plenty of great things to do in Vancouver this long weekend, so you won’t waste a second.

Here are 8 things to do in Vancouver this long weekend.

JFL Northwest

Just for Laughs Northwest is going to become one of the premier comedy festivals in North America. Based on this year’s lineup alone, we wouldn’t be surprised if they already are!

FAN EXPO Vancouver

FAN EXPO is back and better than ever this weekend! From the stars of your favourite TV shows to great cosplay to a massive list of vendors, this is a must-attend weekend for any fan of pop culture.

Valentine’s Day Dinners

There are too many dinner options to list for Valentine’s Day. However, we did do a guide to 5 that we think are absolutely worth making resos for. Plus, we’ve got another 5 cocktails to try out on Friday, in case your dinner plans are all set.

When: Friday, February 14
Where: Restaurants around Vancouver

Sweet Soul Music Valentine’s Edition

You don’t need to have a Valentine to enjoy some soul music. The Fox Cabaret is having a Valentine’s Day edition of it’s newest soul dance party. They’ll be spinning the city’s favorite soul hits. You can expect to hear artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, James Brown, The Marvelettes, The Temptations, Mary Wells, The Four Tops, The Miracles, and more!

When: Friday, February 14, 10:30PM
Where: Fox Cabaret, 2321 Main Street

Mensch’s Pop Up Series- Brunch Edition

Following 3 sold-out dinners, this Jewish delicatessen is swinging by Kafka’s Coffee for a brunch version. Lox, reubens, blintzes, the list goes on… Plus, it’s first come first served, so just show up early and you’re guaranteed a spot!

When: Sunday, February 16, 11AM
Where: 120-577 Great Northern Way

DJ Seinfeld

Vibes alert! What started as a fun way to explore the lo-fi house seen has turned into one of the best electronic concert experiences you could ask for. While most of samples are unlike anything we’ve heard before, they blend into intoxicating tracks that are easy to move to.

When: Sunday, February 16, 11PM
Where: TBA

Lil Fest

While this rap festival has a solid lineup, the standout here is bbno$. The Vancouver rapper broke out in 2019 with his hit single ‘Lalala’, and we think he’s poised to continue his impressive rise to fame. Did you think we would really just forget to include him?

Museum of Vancouver

This museum doesn’t get enough love, and Family Day is the perfect time to check it out. On February 17th, they’ll be offering free admission all day. You can check out the shows ‘Acts of Resistance’, ‘Haida Now’ and the classic Neon room.
