Hey well, would you look at that. Another week has come and gone in Vancouver, and we’re gearing up for some activities this weekend. Sadly, we’ve got a little rain in the forecast, but we’re not going to let it dampen our mood. That’s why umbrellas were made, after all.

Treat yourself to some flowers
Flowers are a surefire way to brighten up any day. And, you can now once more grab some fresh flowers (among other things) at Vancouver’s farmers markets! Earlier this week, the province eased up on their ‘no artisan’ rule, which had prevented them from selling for weeks.

Well, sorta. To help ring in the spring, we’re highlighting some of our favourite places to eat at all around Vancouver. Our first stop? Kitsilano, where you can find everything from dim sum and craft beer to upscale Pacific Northwest cuisine.

Watch a Drive-In Movie
All week long, the Twilight Drive-In will be showing movies for spring break in the city. The lineup has everything from Stuart Little to 21 Jump Street, so we’re sure you’ll be able to find something you like.

Or a new, yet old hockey series
Whatever doubts we had about the new Disney+ series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers were put to bed this week. We spoke with the BC-born Dylan Playfair, son of Jim Playfair (a former NHLer) about playing Coach T, who now leads the ultra-competitive Ducks team. Turns out, old and new fans alike have big things to look forward to.

Look at some shipwrecks
We almost never give a shoutout to the Vancouver Maritime Museum, so we think it’s overdue. Their latest exhibition is a collection of photographs from Stefano Benazzo, who has spent decades taking pictures of shipwrecks from all over the world. Sure, it’s niche, but we like it!

The Unibrow Arts Fest returns this week! You can check out a great selection of zines from local artists, or sign up for some free artist talks and workshops. And, with zine prices starting around $3, this is a great way to get into art without dropping a ton of cash.
