Welcome to the end of the weekend, folks! It’s been a rainy few days, but we’re hoping that we might get to see a little sun this week in Vancouver. Fingers crossed that our optimism pays off. And hey, if not, at least it’ll be a little warmer outside anyway. Let’s see what’s in store!

Look at some shipwrecks
We almost never give a shoutout to the Vancouver Maritime Museum, so we think it’s overdue. Their latest exhibition is a collection of photographs from Stefano Benazzo, who has spent decades taking pictures of shipwrecks from all over the world. Sure, it’s niche, but we like it!

Museum of Anthropology- A Future for Memory
Speaking of nice, MOA welcomed a new exhibition last month. This one focuses on the impact and aftermath of the 2011 earthquake off the coast of Japan. It’s an interesting one, especially since MOA itself is undergoing extensive ‘earthquake-proofing’ reconstruction.

Buy some zines online
The Unibrow Arts Fest returns this week! While events and talks don’t start until the weekend, you can still check out a great selection of zines from local artists. And, with prices starting around $3, this is a great way to get into art without dropping a ton of cash.

There are quite a few exhibits on view at the Vancouver Art Gallery this spring.
