A stolen bike for seniors worth $17k has been returned in Vancouver
It’s no secret that Vancouver has a bike theft problem. But some bikes just aren’t equal to others. And last week a $17,000 bike was stolen from a Yaletown senior home. But luckily someone knew something was off and the bike has been returned.
Yaletown House Society had purchased this expensive bike for its senior residents to zip around the city on. And the reason why it’s so pricey is that it’s an electric tandem bike. Honestly, it looks like it’d be a ton of fun to ride so we’re glad it’s been returned.
UPDATE: This bike has been recovered and returned to Yaletown House. Thank you to the public for their assistance! pic.twitter.com/xsnHrhYMgJ

Sadly, one Vancouver bike buyer did get a bit bamboozled by purchasing this bike from the thief. And while he may be out $750 he can feel good knowing this bike is going back to its rightful home. But on that note, the bike thief has still not been caught.
