We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it (hopefully a million times) again, when it comes to companies showing their kind hearts and supporting local communities, we’re pretty huge fans. So naturally, we’re all for Becel’s ‘Kind Hearts Fund’ which runs until April 30th.
Becel’s Kind Hearts Fund has a very important and direct focus: helping to fight food insecurity across the country and spread awareness on the issue.
Food security is a measure of the availability of food and individuals’ ability to access it, and this year more than ever, it’s been a huge issue for Canadians. Currently, almost 1 in 7 Canadians live with food insecurity, and the pandemic has brought about additional financial and food instability for many families. With this in mind, Becel’s Kind Hearts Campaign is getting the public involved and making it easy to help give back and support local charities in communities across Canada!
Throughout the campaign, every Becel product purchased will donate $1 to local charities in communities across Canada and be used to provide meals to Canadians facing food insecurity.
The goal is to donate up to $100,000, and here in Alberta, a portion of the donation will help support the Airdrie Food Bank!
From baking to cooking to spreading, Becel has been a staple in Canadians homes since, well… as long as pretty much anyone can remember. So, here’s where we come in! From now until April 30th, make sure you’re restocking on all your favourite Becel products. From spreads to bricks to cooking oils, Becel has products to suit every meal’s and everyone’s needs.
So check your fridge and pantry, make a list of what you need, and head to your local Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, Costco, Save-On-Foods, Walmart (or wherever you shop!) to grab yours today. Every time you do, you’ll help donate $1 to support local charities’ provide a meal to someone in need in your community!
