The Vancouver Art Gallery officially reopens next week!
Full honesty, we got kind of overwhelmed writing about all the announcements that came out yesterday, so we’re talking about the Vancouver Art Gallery today instead. And besides, you’ve got time before the public can even reserve tickets for the reopening.
The Art Gallery has a whole thing planned for the reopening, too. First up are members and donors getting special access for a day, followed by some exclusive hours for frontline workers and their families to check it out. Then, on June 16th, doors open to the public.
We’re excited to announce that, following health & safety protocols, the Vancouver Art Gallery will re-open on June 15 with new hours, special access for frontline workers & new and extended exhibitions. We can’t to welcome you back! https://t.co/h9nTPkyJd3 #ArtMakesUs pic.twitter.com/gojmvfkCxR

The Gallery is going to lower its capacity, so the gallery strongly recommends reserving a time slot instead of just trying to get some at the door. And of course, there are new social distancing measures in place that every visitor needs to adhere to.
We’re just happy that sooner or later we can go check out some art! We might wait a week before the gallery reopens though, but we think it’ll be busy all summer long.
