Good news, folks! The Bill Reid Gallery has become the latest art institution to announce that it has opened back up this summer. We might have to wait a little bit to check out the next major show, but we can promise you that it’s worth it. Here’s what you’ve got to look forward to.

The gallery’s next major exhibition will be a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Reid’s birth. The exhibition, titled To Speak With a Golden Voice, offers a retrospective of the Haida radio presenter turned artist and his enduring legacy on the Canadian art world.

The exhibition will also include pieces from Reid’s protegés and contemporaries, providing context to just how much of an impact Reid continues to have. We highly recommend checking out this exhibition, since it gives such a thorough and rare look at an incredible artist.

The new exhibition at the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art officially opens on July 16th. You can learn more about the exhibit, and purchase tickets, via this link.

Editor’s Note: It has been brought to our attention that the Bill Reid Gallery has already reopened to the public, with the major exhibition opening on July 16th. We apologize for the confusion.
