Rental of the Week: Gorg penthouse in one of Van’s most iconic buildings
Hello, house hunters! Welcome back to another edition of the Curiocity Vancouver rental of the week, where we take a peek at Van’s rental market and see what catches our eyes. This week, we think it’s time to give up the rivers and the lakes that we’re used to.
You know that we’re gonna have it our way or nothing at all. And, we might be moving too fast. But who cares, the rental market in this city is bonkers.
Vancouver Rental of the Week- 1540 W 2nd Avenue
Oh yeah, that’s right, we picked one of the most iconic buildings in the city. Designed in 1996, this Arthur Erickson masterpiece is a perfect example of West Coast modern architecture.
With only 41 live/work spaces available at any time, it’s also one of the most exclusive buildings in the city. And, the spot that we picked is a penthouse. Why? Reason number 1 is because it’s the only one available.
But reason number 2 is that we’re ballers. Why bankrupt yourself on a gross basement suite when you can bankrupt yourself here instead? It just makes sense.
Enjoy a mixture of concrete, glass and steel inside the loft. We like the staircase to the den the most- that thing is sweet.
And, if it’s a nice day out then head upstairs off the main bedroom to your own rooftop patio. Take in a beautiful view of Vancouver’s skyline as you pat yourself on the back for being way cooler than your friends living in Yaletown.
You can check out the listing, available for just under $4k/month, here.
