For those of you that are feeling really antsy, you’ll be happy to know that camping season is upon us. Well, technically it’s a few months away but soon residents of BC can start reserving campsites in provincial parks. Obviously, bouncing around BC isn’t an option right now, but we’re all about planning ahead!

Starting on Monday, March 8th you’ll be able to access the Discover Camping Reservations Service online. The service allows you to book a campsite two months in advance of your planned travel. Additionally, residents of the province have priority access to campsite reservations all summer long.

Now keep in mind that reservations cannot be made further than two months ahead. So if you’re planning late summer trips you still have a while to wait before you can book those. Now if you happen to be reading this from another province you’ll be able to book your trips on July 8th.

And if you’re more on the hard-core side it’s worth mentioning that backcountry camping reservations open on March 1st. But if you want all the details about camping in provincial parks you can click here. We hope that you all have a great camping season and remember to make those reservations early. Because we can guarantee that this year will be busy.
