Hello, Vancouver! In solidarity with the #blackouttuesday content blackout, we have decided to only write articles that champion the cause or highlight ongoing issues. As such, we are here to provide you with a starting list of local charities that you can donate to right now.

Whether in Vancouver or around BC, this is a great place to start off.

Black in BC Community Support Fund for COIVD-19

A fundraiser that aims to financially support blacks folks during COVID-19, and especially those without access to federal or provincial assistance.

Hogan’s Alley Society

A non-profit organization whose goal is to “promote the historical, cultural, societal and economic contributions made by Black Settlers and their descendants to Vancouver”. Named after a historic black space in Vancouver that was erased by construction.
