If you’re taking a stroll around downtown Vancouver sometime this weekend, then you might bump into the city’s latest public art initiative. A new collaboration has created something called dance bubbles, an outdoor light and dance installation. Here’s a little more info.

Basically, Tourism Vancouver has asked professional dancers from around the city to step into these dance bubbles every weekend this March. To find the talent, they partnered with the Small Stage Society, a local, and charitable, dance company.

Small Stage is bringing a wide variety of dance styles to these bubbles throughout the month. You’ll be able to see everything from classic ballet to Indigenous dance to belly dancing. The bubbles will be on display from Thursday to Saturday each week, but will only feature live artists on Friday nights. So, keep that in mind if you’re looking to check it out.

But, we suggest that you absolutely do. For more information on the dance bubbles around Vancouver this March, just click the link below!
