Back in 2019 (time just flies), we talked about the arrival of Canada’s first hot tub boat rentals in Victoria. Well, a lot has happened since then, but surprisingly, things seem to be going swimmingly. What’s more, they’re still planning on coming to Vancouver and Kelowna! Here’s a quick rundown.

Most importantly, you don’t need a boating license to be able to operate the boat. But, passengers have to be 12 and older. Additionally, the ‘captain’ has to be over 19. Dang, looks like our young cousins can’t go mess around after school one day.

Each boat can fit up to 6 people, restrictions-dependent, and rentals are available for 1.5 hours at a time. We’re thinking that’s right on the edge of turning into a prune, so we doubt anyone’s opting for a double booking. Luckily, each passenger gets 2 bottles of water, to stay hydrated.

Since no chemicals are used, the boats are sanitized and refilled for every rental. And, the water is heated with a briquette fueled stove. Finally, there will be Bluetooth speakers on board. Get ready to blast your favourite tunes! We’re thinking ‘Ocean Man’ by Ween is a good choice.
